Conscious Touch Method™

Deep emotional work in Ubud

The body and the emotional life are one system. When an emotion stays incomplete or unexpressed, the body holds on, and a pattern of tension forms.

The Conscious Touch Method™ is a somatic emotional release practice I founded. It draws from osteopathic principles, nervous system regulation, breathwork and body-centred emotional awareness. It is both hands-on and verbally guided, so you take an active part in the session.

“I was waiting for this kind of session for 25 years and didn’t received a treatment as potent since I was in Puna.

I received a wonderful session from Jay during which through his present and skillful touch my body could release deep emotional tensions.

It is very healing to observe how his present touch paces and supports the body to not only relax on the physical level but also to dive into the emotional level to invite the flow of deeper tensions and restore the natural wellbeing and loving contentment.”

Astiko · Osho’s lineage Tantra teacher
“His attuned presence and touch would bring up suppressed feelings that I wasn’t even consciously aware were there. Suddenly the feelings felt conscious and important. He would maintain presence as I let myself feel and emote.”
Dr. Alyssa Herzig, PhD · Psychologist, Canada
“Jay guided me through those defenses and mental games with his gentle, patient and clear presence, connecting me deeply with my emotions, my vulnerability and my essence. After that session, I felt empowered to face an issue that had long disturbed me and it was truly amazing! At the same time, Jay’s touch was so present that my nervous system could feel safe and could allow my body to relax.”
Cherri Prem · Tantra retreat organizer, relationship counselor
“It was a dive into my psyche as well as my body. I’m a massage therapist and Osteopath DO myself and I must say that the approach to body/mind work was unique. I revisited old trauma that I have dealt with many times but saw them from another angle.”
Glenn Martin · Osteopath DO, marathon organizer

Janeck Jay Olczyk, D.O.

Osteopath · Founder of the Conscious Touch Method™ · Therapeutic yoga teacher · Breathwork coach

My path began in Bali in 2001, learning meditation. A journey into the Amazonian jungle followed and changed how I look at the body. I then trained in shiatsu and osteopathic approaches, at the Académie Sutherland d’ostéopathie du Québec under Guy Voyer, D.O., and in therapeutic yoga under Hart Lazer.

In 2018 I founded OptimumOsteo, my holistic osteopathy clinic in Montreal. I have practised breathwork every day for ten years.

The Conscious Touch Method™ brings these twenty years together. I created it for people who sensed that lasting change asks for more than work on the body alone. I offer it one on one, and teach it through workshops and retreats.

Pranafy Breathwork App

Keep the work going between sessions, or after you leave Bali. Pranafy is the breathwork app I created: guided sessions with voice and music, for energy, relaxation, sleep and longer journeys. In English and French, free to start.

How long does a session last?

Both sessions last 55 minutes.

How can I pay?

At the session. Cash is preferred. Credit card payments carry a 15% surcharge: IDR 1,840,000 for classic osteopathy and IDR 2,530,000 with deep emotional work.

Is osteopathy the same as a massage?

No. I look at how your body moves as a whole and use precise manual techniques where mobility is restricted: articular, cranial, visceral and fascial.

How many sessions will I need?

It depends on your situation. We talk it through at the end of the first session. I do not sell packages or set a number of sessions in advance.

Do I have to talk about my past in deep emotional work?

You share what you choose to share. The session is verbally guided and moves at your pace.

Which session should I choose?

Choose classic osteopathy if your focus is how your body moves. Choose deep emotional work if you sense that your tension has an emotional side and you want to explore it.

What should I wear?

Comfortable underwear, or soft clothes you can move in. You can stay fully dressed if you prefer.

Who do you work with?

Adults, people recovering after giving birth, and children aged five and up. I do not work during pregnancy or with babies. Sessions are in English or French.
